The performance I have decided to research is Alison Knowles. She has worked with Marcel Duchamp and performed with a fluxus group in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Alison Knowles produced a eight foot long book that allowed the reader/spectator to go inside the book. She is an interesting artist who has traveled around the world. Here is some of her work...
she also makes books, poems, and visual artworks. Alison Knowles has been part of fluxus since the 1960s.

In this inkblot I see what appear to be a ballerina who is dancing. What I also notice is that the head is replaced with feet. Everything seems to be symmetrical in the inkblot. My subconscious also tells me that the feet may not be feet at all. It could possibly be arm sockets that were not connected to the waist and shoulders of the male/female ballerina. The inkblot may also show that it could be a dead flower that is dying. I like this particular inkblot there could be various interpretations of who or what is in the inkblot.

What is the Dada Movement? Well  technically  it is not a movement at all. Artists during the time of World War 2 didn't approve of the war. They decided to make a joke of it and developed "not art" artworks. This had an affect on people in that time . They also decided to call themselves Dadaists, some may ask "What is Dada?" Dada doesn't mean anything, weird huh? Their artworks were weird and soon it became normal to non artists. There are many artists who was involved in Dadaism, one in particular is Jean Arp. He made his work based on the movement. Here is one of his works..

Jean Arp made a collage with blue and white squares of different sizes. People were fascinated with this. They have never seen anything like it and was curious of how it was made. There are numerous of artists that produced works that facinated others.

It was an exciting experience when I first started to work on my portrait. The process was fairly easy as the class and I worked on it. In some ways it was a challenge, I had the opportunity to mix colors to create shades and tints. My art teacher also guided me through the process. I thought that my portrait would not turn out the way I saw it in the photograph. I took time out to produce a picture that I later enjoyed. I have never made a portrait of anyone before. Famous artist paint as well, often times I would see street artist do the same thing. I wished I had the talent to do the same, now I had the chance and it was amazing. I will conitune to paint and create more portraits in the near future.

This is one of Russ Mills illustrations. In this work of art colors are being used. Such colors are green, metalliac, grey, black and gold. The woman in the artwork seems to be focused on something important as she stares. The artist wants the viewer to notice how the woman is in a somber mood. In the background there are clouds in the sky. Everything seems to rush right past her, I can interpret that there is a possiblitity that she doesnt want things to past her by.
